Although i've had plenty of sex in the city, I'm certainly no Carrie Bradshaw! However much I may wish I had a wardrobe full of designer shoes and my very own 'Mr Big' to sweep me off my feet the reality is somewhat different! I mean don't get me wrong me & Ms Bradshaw do have some things in common, for example, fabulous friends and a love of Cosmopolitians, but isn't it true that you always want more?
On the surface the SATC girls have the most fantastic lives; they live in (what I imagine to be!) one of the most amazing cities in the world, the jobs, families, men, and not to mention wardrobes, that dreams are made of.
However, are they always happy? Do things always work out the way they want? Do they not get their hearts broken? The short answer is no. The reason? Well if you ask me I believe it's because life is never easy, there are twists and turns along the road and how you deal with them is what makes up your life, who you are, your personality. Do you fall at the first hurdle or jump back up on your Manolos and hold your head high until you trip over the next stumbling block?
Now don't get me wrong too much never seems enough of some things; friendship, love, and fabulous shoes. But even if you have all these things, is your life perfect? No, because nothing lasts forvever, men lie, you lose your job, fall out with friends and love ones over what seems like nothing when you look back, but sometimes you have to have a Carrie attitude - a belief that everything will turn out alright in the end. That you'll find the man of your dreams, the New York appartment, the amazing job in fashion.
And if you don't? Theres always lunchdates and Cosmo's with the girls!!
